Would you like to join us and don’t know what kind of beads will you need?
I try to stick to bead shapes and sizes that according to my mini-survey in the Storytelling Beading Club are part of beader’s stashes, and if not, then they are easy to find.
These are our usual shapes for #NoOneHasToBeadAlone (they vary a little bit, but I never go crazy with requirements):
- fire-polished beads in different sizes (usually 3 and 4 mm, rarely 2 mm, 6 mm, or True2),
- Miyuki Delica 11/0,
- Miyuki round seed beads 15/0 and 11/0,
- Miyuki Tila, Half Tila, Quarter Tila,
- round cabochons (Preciosa, glass or Swarovski, usually 8 or 12 mm),
- round pearls and druk beads (usually 2, 3, 4, sometimes 6 mm),
- bicone beads (3 and 4 mm).
It might also come in handy to have for the future: Gemduo beads, Honeycomb beads, Miyuki slender bugle. If you like, you can often spruce up the designs with some glass drops in metal settings, ss16/4 mm Preciosa sew-on rhinestones or tassels.
